God in every moment

Some mornings feel peaceful and structured—the kind where the house is quiet, the coffee is hot, the light is soft, and you actually get to sit with your Bible open. I love those mornings. I crave them.

But let’s be real… not every day looks like that.

Some days start with a crying toddler, a spilled smoothie, an unexpected need, or a schedule that pulls you straight into motion before your feet even hit the floor. And on those days—when the devotional time gets skipped or squeezed out—it’s easy for guilt to sneak in.
I should’ve woken up earlier.
I should’ve made more time.
I should’ve done better.

But here’s the truth we forget: God isn’t frustrated with you. He’s not disappointed. He’s not standing there with a checklist waiting to see if you “did your quiet time correctly.”

He’s with you. Right there in the middle of your real, beautiful, messy life.

Not first on the list — the center of it all

There’s a line in the Passion Translation of the Lord’s Prayer that stopped me in my tracks the first time I read it:

“May the glory of Your name be the center on which our lives turn.”
— Matthew 6:9 (TPT)

The center.

Not just first on a list.
Not something we check off before we move to the “real” parts of our day.
Not something that only happens when the house is quiet and the conditions are perfect.

The center.

This changes everything.

Because if God is the center, then He can meet us in every moment—not only the ones that feel “spiritually put together.”

Seasons shift — God stays

Maybe you’re in a newborn season where your baby needs you constantly.
Maybe you’re driving kids to three different activities every afternoon.
Maybe you’re holding a job, a home, a marriage, and everyone’s emotions all at once.

Some seasons leave very little space for long, quiet mornings. And instead of feeling ashamed about that, what if we saw it differently?

What if the goal wasn’t an uninterrupted devotional…
but an uninterrupted connection?

Connection can happen anywhere:
doing dishes
buckling car seats
sitting in traffic
folding laundry
walking through the grocery store

When God is the center, every one of those moments becomes holy ground.

Everything you do can be done with him

Your entire day—every ordinary task, every chaotic moment—can revolve around Him.

Washing dishes can be worship.
Carpool can be communion.
A messy kitchen can be a meeting place.
A busy morning can become a whispered prayer.

God isn’t looking for perfection.
He’s looking for presence.
And He offers His presence to you in return.

So if you missed your quiet time today?
You haven’t missed God.
He is already woven into the fabric of your day, waiting for you to notice Him again.

Let go of the pressure

Release the guilt.
Release the pressure.
Release the belief that you’re doing it wrong because it doesn’t look like it “should.”

Your walk with God is allowed to look different in different seasons.

In fact, it should.

That’s what relationship looks like—growing, shifting, deepening, stretching, becoming more real and honest as we go.

He is with you — always

God is the steady center your whole life turns around.
He’s with you when you feel peaceful and put together.
He’s with you when you feel rushed and overwhelmed.
He’s with you when you sit with your Bible open.
He’s with you when dishes pile up and kids melt down.
He is with you in every single moment.

And every moment is a brand-new invitation to do your day with Him.
